Pearlbrook: The First Expansion for Everdell

Pearlbrook is the first expansion to the popular Kickstarter campaign Everdell.  This expansion adds a river to the forest, opening up more places for your workers to visit.  Underneath the Pearlbrook River, you will find a mysterious civilization of waterfolk awaiting players’ amphibious ambassadors to trade information and resources.  The riverfolk are interested in trading for the pearls they possess underneath the surface. These pearls can be used to purchase adornment cards, or collected in order to build a Wonder of Everdell. Pearlbrook essentially opens the game board to give players more opportunities and paths to victory.  If you missed the Collector’s Edition on their first Kickstarter, Starling Games is offering pledge levels for both the Collector’s Edition and a bundle of both games. Since it’s release, Everdell has garnered the attention of many gamers, touting the rich theme and intricate worker placement. If either of these two things catches your eye, I would for sure back this game.  But do so soon, they are not planning a retail release.
